AW Roles to Groups

Add Custom Roles to Groups ..

Groups & Roles

You need to tell Keycloak to include your Adventure Works Custom Roles in the JWT tokens that get sent to PDC. Right now, the Custom Roles exist but PDC doesn't know about them!

Adventure Works Groups & Roles

  1. Log into Keycloak:

https://pdc.pentaho.lab/keycloak/adminpdc.pentaho.lab

Username: admin

Password: admin

Ensure you select the Pentaho Data Catalog Realm.

  1. In Left Menu: Groups

  2. Click: AdventureWorks_Organization > IT_Operations > System_Administrators

Group: system_administrators

  1. Assign Realm Role to Group

  2. Click: Role mappings tab

  3. Click: Assign role

  4. Filter by realm roles

  1. Select: aw-system-administrator

Assign Roles

  1. Click: Assign

  2. Again the workflow will need to be repeated to assign the custom roles to the their groups:

Ok we're getting there ..

AW Groups with their Custom Roles and Attributes are now in place.

Next .. map the PDC default roles to the AW Groups.
