No. Hosted labs are included — your voucher gives you a ready-made environment, with the Lab Guide embedded in each lab and starting automatically when you open it. There's nothing to download, install or configure.

Getting Started is for trying Pentaho out — it walks you through the ways to get it running so you can see what the platform does. Learning paths are the paid, self-paced courses that build role-specific skills, and they come with their own hosted labs. You don't need to do one before the other.

Each role's page sets out the courses in that path, the levels they run through, and how exams and certification work for it. Start with the role that matches your work.

Most data jobs map onto one of the five reasonably well — the paths are built around what people actually do, not job titles. If you're genuinely between two, read both course outlines, or use the contact options below and we'll point you at the right path.
